Music is certainly a big part of our lives, but, did you know that the music you choose while working out, can actually affect the workout itself?

A study in the 'Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research' showed that "The participants who got to choose their own music showed a much greater rate of acceleration and speed". So bringing your own earbuds is certainly beneficial.

 

Music with a Higher Tempo affects Cardio-based Workouts.

A study published by British Researchers in 2009 had results that were pretty conclusive; the tracks with a higher tempo increased the participants heart rate and pedaling speed. Not only this but they also covered more distance.
