In this article, we take a look at an organisation in the United States, called 'Blind Justice'.

So, what IS Blind Justice, and WHO are they?

"Blind Justice is an organization, NOT of lawyers or paralegals, but of the regular voices of regular people, citizens, tax payers, that have taken the charge that most say is too difficult:

  • To get justice and freedom for the wrongfully convicted that the system has ignored.

  • To convince Justice to lift the blindfold to see the corrupt and unethical police, agents, prosecutors, and others that are in her guard and the acts they commit against those who are not wealthy, those who can't afford million dollar lawyers.

The ones that are usually ignored leading to miscarriages of justice with men & women being illegally, unconstitutionally and wrongfully convicted of crimes & sent to prison, sometimes for life. Unjustifiably destroying more lives, families, and friendships and creating more victims by taking sons and daughters from parents, mothers and fathers away from children, and friends from love ones."

The case profile currently being highlighted is that of LaFawn Dewayne Bobbitt, charged with; Conspiracy, bank robbery with death occurring, causing death through the use of a firearm , use of a firearm in a crime of violence, possession of a firearm while under indictment.

Blind Justice, however, believes this individual to of been wrongly arrested, and does not match the description of the perpetrator.

They have a full case profile, viewable here: http://www.blindjusticeorg.com/#!case-profile/cjg9

Additionally, there is a petition on whitehouse.gov regarding this individual: https://petitions.whitehouse.gov//petition/grant-lafawn-bobbitt-innocent-wrongfully-convicted-man-pardon-all-federal-charges

It is a known fact that in the USA, many people are wrongly convicted, sentenced, and imprisoned, for crimes which they did not commit. While we at DMR have no stance for or against the specific case mentioned above, we believe it's an issue to be taken seriously, because similar circumstances can even happen to you.
